Desert Strike

Overview

Desert Strike V1.0.3 is a tug-of-war style map for eight players split into two teams, with a 192x192 playing area. The author describes it as inspired by the Desert Strike Euro map from StarCraft 2, and players choose their race in the lobby. The map has no predefined heroes or items, so the game is driven entirely by unit production. The quest log explains an income system where a base earns gold over a 20-second cycle, and building Gold Extractors raises the amount earned while briefly freezing income. Each extractor adds a fixed bonus, with the freeze growing longer as more are built, and controlling the middle of the map counts as one extra extractor. The chat command -cam is available for adjusting the camera.
