How to survive
-Build barricades, you must build a maze to survive! Barricades are cheap, you can maze up to your food limit with almost no costs. But don't forget to build also towers, barricades don't attack! -Build your maze around waypoints and try to connect waypoints with each other to increase the power of your maze -Build near the creepway crossroads to get better against air levels, because air creeps will fly two times over this point, giving your towers twice the time to kill them. -Don't build too many towers, build less towers, but upgrade them to their maximum, because higher towers are more efficient than massing. Try to place your towers on the bonus tiles to give them additional strength. -Research at first one element at least to level 3 before you start to go for a new one! You won't survive long with only level 1 & 2 towers. -Don't forget to build a few towers with splash or multi/bounce attack, or you won't survive mass creep levels. -You can see the advantages and disadvantages of each element by reading the tooltip of its research button.
Game Basics
-You gain one skill point at the start and one every 7 levels. After each challenge you gain one additional random skillpoint. So, at level 49 you have 8 normal and 4 random skillpoints. -You can put up to 4 skillpoints in an element. So, towers that are higher than level 4 can only be obtained if you also get random points in that element. -You gain 35 food at gamestart and 1.5 food per level. Each tower/wall costs one food, so your food limits your total maze size. -Each element can build following specials: 1. an Aura Tower at level 3 and 5 2. a Trap at level 4 3. a Dual Element Tower at level 3 (3 points in both element ofc!) -You gain one lumber every 7 levels. Aura Towers, Dual Element Towers, very high Towers and Traps require one lumber. -Creeps drop items, level 3+ towers have item slots. Be Careful: You cannot remove items from a tower! -Towers gain experience when killing a creep. This will increase their damage and their attackspeed.
How to get best score
-You gain points for each creep you kill. Challenges also give points if you don't kill them. If you bring em down to 50% HP you gain 50% of the points you would have gotten if you killed the challenge. Most of the points you get will be from challenges, creepkills play an inferior role. -So, try to build a superior maze to kill or damage challenges hard. -The harder the difficulty is the more points you get, so if you want to get the best scores you will have to choose SICK mode. -Training is the key to victory, try different element combinations to see which one fits your maze style best. -You also gain a few points for other actions like how much gold you have left when the game ends, but these things don't give big points, so i won't mention them all here. -In Speed Mode you also get gold for finishing the levels fast. So try to start the next level as fast as you can to gain many additional points here.
Game Modes
1. Game Mode Normal Mode: All teams must wait until all teams are finished, then the next level starts synchronous for all teams. Speed Mode: Your worker has a button to start the next level. Try to be as fast as possible. Before each challenge you gain bonus points for the time you needed to finish the last 10 levels. The faster you are the more points you get. Race Mode: Same as Speed mode, but no additional points. It is a team vs. team mode, the team that reaches the last challenge first wins the game! 2. Team Size You can choose the team size. However team mode is not balanced yet, single player is standard. 3. Game Difficulty The higher the difficulty, the more points you get, but creeps will have more hitpoints, a higher spell reduction ratio and more armor. If you are new to this TD and your mazing is not good, choose Beginner or Easy. Medium and Hard are modes where even good mazers that know all towers can leak, try your best! SICK is a very hard mode, you will need some luck and superior mazing to survive. IMPOSSIBLE is self explaining. 4. Terrain In Open Field you have a plain area to build your maze (like in most other TDs). The other 2 modes (Barred & WTF Field) offer a new mazing experience. Rocks will spawn on random positions in your maze, making straight mazing impossible.
Recommendations
-Try "barred field mode" or "wtf field mode" where randomly placed rocks make mazing more difficult. A totally new mode that was never before in a TD! -Try "speed mode" for faster play and bonus points for faster players or "race mode" for team vs. team play, where the fastest team wins. -Visit http://gex.eeve.org , there you can discuss about this map and others made by me (for example Castle Fight). You can post bugs that you find or other suggestions that you have there at my board. -Try to beat your high score! As soon as i have a stable version out i will put up a high score entering system at my page where you can try to get into the Hall of Fame.
