Quest Log (F9)

Changes
Added new heroes: Shadow Magi, Bad Man, and Enforcer (and hopefully balanced them well). Changed Evoker's attack to instant with monsoon projectile. Removed Demon Gateway from Nightmare, and replaced it with Power of Night. Changed Demon Gateway and added it to Shadow Magi. Included all TE edition heroes (Nightmare, Core Magi, Arderial Magi, Cald Magi) except for Demon Huntress. Created some new Attack and Armor types. Changed Armor type of Paladin and Holy Warrior to Divine. Changed Nimsha FX (both swords) to permanent. Changed Nimsha FX to stack with missiles (hopefully). Added new lifesteal weaponry. Changed Nimsha FX (both swords) to stack with lifesteal. Reconstructed the map from the ground up, with (major) guidance from previous unprotected versions. Slightly increased the range of most close-quarters-combat heroes, and probably a few ranged heroes. I've kind of forgotten. Terrain changes. Players should now be able to right click a shop from the lower level to walk up to it without the unit attempting to walk all the way around to the upper level. This change does not apply to the Exchange or the Bazaar. Created a new Alchemy Table for the Empath, with unique items and a smaller chance to get the best items. there is about a 9% chance to get the +10 stat tomes (8/85) and a 1% chance to get the best items (1/85) such as the Locket of Ecstacy or Sunderfury. Increased cooldown and range on Trothfang's Rally. Attempted to improve Dragon Dance. Let me know what you think of the change. Blood Dancer now gains 2.33 strength per level instead of 2, and 2.66 agility per level instead of 3. Ethereal Shield now maxes out at +100 armor. Increased the effectiveness of Seal of Deflection. Altered the Nightblade's Khri Spars # and damage. Depending on which version you are used to playing, she will be stronger or weaker...I tried to adjust her power to somewhere in between. Stronger than Original, but weaker than 001. Cut the amount of mana gained by Aura Sight in half. Replaced Paladin Halt with Divine Protection. Decreased the range on Xyx attacks from 1500 to 900. Decreased the number of Xyx summoned at a time from 6 to 5. Changed Core Magi Maelstrom ability. Attempted to remove the permastun issues associated with Havlok and Sidhlot. Clog limit set to 220. Attempted to recreate the spawn engine for creeps. This gave me a major headache, and may or may not act similarly to standard enfo games. Reduced the mana cost of Havlok, Glythtide's, and Grazhir's. Reduced the cooldown of several level 10 abilities. Slightly improved Cleric's Chill Spirit. Added some new items, including a few from 2004 TE. Other changes, many of which I am unable to remember or too tired to detail here.

If you would like to send comments or suggestions or report bugs, email me at catastrophesunderfury@hotmail.com. I intend to keep this version updated awhile, at least if it needs updating. Heh. It probably does, this is my first map! Have an idea for a new hero and abilities? Many people who play my map say they quit enfo because there are no new heroes. If you have an idea for a hero email it to me and I'll try and put it in. Include all of the abilities you would like but try and keep it balanced! If I put the hero in, it will have your name as a way of crediting you for the idea. I will also detail in the quest log that the addition of that hero was your idea.
Enfo Team Survival 101
For the Beginner. Enfo Team Survival is 40 waves of monsters, and you and your team have to hold them back and fend off any offensive maneuvers from the other team while trying to survive. Each team has 100 lives, and the first team to lose all their lives loses. If an enemy creep reaches the Team Goal, a life is lost. Each Hero has use of a spellbringer, a tower on the enemy field that can be used offensively or defensively. Learn to use the spellbringer, it has many useful spells! Staying stocked up on potions is one of the keys to victory - healing and mana potions are available at Mauriga's Botanicals. Ankhs of Reincarnation are available at the Bazaar. Learn how to exchange money for wood to buy more powerful items! Remember that you are allied with the creeps the opposing team is fighting! Good luck and have fun!!
Version Information
this map was created by pulling data from a number of unprotected enfo team survival maps. because of this, there are likely several bugs of which i am unaware, as i do not have the official ETS team to help me eradicate them, or even just a good friend who is good at triggers and stuff. i have tried to improve the map to the best of my abilities from my knowledge of the map, and from reading message boards. i hope the official team will not hold it against me that i used their board (and other message boards) to attempt to obtain information about bugs and problems so that i could eliminate them. a great deal of the issues i read about i had already encountered from playing the game, but its good to have some feedback on what is intended, and what isn't, and what simply can't be helped. not being able to shear nightblade illusions, for example...if it were made possible then any hero could run around w/ an almost permanent anti-magic shell. its up to you to help me figure out how effective i was at implementing the changes. i freely admit i stole 99% of the stuff you will see in this map - although i avoided attempting to add in any of the ideas i've heard about for the upcoming official ETS version 1.2, such as shared spellbringer control upon teammate departure, heroes such as the dark necromancer and alter-ego ranger, etc. plus, i think most of that would be beyond my limited programming capabilities. i do respect the original creators, however much they may not like me for creating an "unofficial" version of their map. my intention with this map isn't to try and get people to lavish me with attention or to think of me as the creator of enfo team survival. i simply liked the map so much i wanted to make a version of my own. in fact, the more dr_hack (current official ets map programmer) and edgarronifigaro (a##hole, and creator of BUILD 001 and the "tournament" editions) dissuaded me (and in addition, the mysterious disappearance of the 2004 version creators), the more i felt i had to make the map, as a statement of sorts. well whatever. this is enfo through my eyes, an evolution of sorts that you may or may not enjoy. play it, love it, hate it...whatever you prefer.
Important Information
Learning level 1 of the Nether ability may kill you. I'm not sure why, and so I cannot fix this. Only level 1 will do this. The Empath's armor aura has been moved to the paladin, and slightly reduced in power, maxing at 120 bonus armor. Regeneration is now dispel-on attack, and cannot be used to stack up creeps. This is part of the reason for Innocence ability. The Empath can now summon all unique items, on a chance of x/85. The rarest and best items are 3/85 chance and 1/85 chance. To compensate for the changes I have made to the Empath, the cooldown on Alchemy has been cut almost in half. There are sometimes display problems with the Multiboard. This is my first map, and I'm not so hot with triggers, I will attempt to fix these problems as time goes on. This is version 1.7c, apparently the "final" version wasn't so final when I played w/ some guy who bought 5 Hands of Divinity and had 500 armor + 25 charges of reincarnate. I had to make some changes. Changes to 1.6h include showing cooldown on winged boots and mysterious visage, and an attempt to get creeps to use their abilities, such as lvl 9 war stomp, lvl 37 using rez, and lvl 26 using bloodlust. Also, roar was added to ranger wolves. Changes to 1.6i include adding the hotkey for Sleight of Hand, an attempt to fix the multiboard display problem and hero xp distribution upon teammate departure, and tuning down the hit points of the Nether Beasts, as well as slightly increasing the duration of Shroud of Terror. Changes to 1.7 include attempting to fix the dmg bug associated with Apocalyptic Strike, reducing the effectiveness of Defensive Gauntlet to 60 bonus armor (down from 70), and narrowing the cooldown range on some of the less attractive heroes, such as the Moon Mage's Burn or Cleric's Murrula Flames. Naroom Magi was taken from a TE edition I played once, and added to 1.7. Ghoul's Carrion Spirit was reduced to max effectiveness of 17%, down from 25%. 1.7a changes include an attempt to fix Tingle, rebalancing the Naroom Magi, and more evenly distributing the attack types of creeps, as well as increasing the final cooldown for Dragon Dance. 1.7b added the Lost King. Added a new ability for the Shadow Magi. 1.7c balanced the Lost King and tried yet again to get xp split upon hero departure working. Check out all the heroes, I made changes to many of them in addition to adding new heroes and items, etc. Thanks to everyone who played my map, those who offered suggestions and advice, showed me what was too strong or too weak, and helped make the map better.
