Founders of the North

Overview

Founders of the North 1.25 is a multiplayer economy and town-building map for ten players split into two teams, set on a 224 by 224 battlefield. Its author describes a northern land where the Church fights Pagans, trade moves between towns, and wolves roam the night. Players begin as poor wanderers, earning gold through hunting, fishing, farming, herding, gathering, alchemy, and merchantry, then growing a small farm into a town. Death is not final: a fallen player can return as a bandit. The map includes 19 hero types, including Founder, Bandit, Merchant and Wolf Spirit, along with a large set of items and many chat commands that point to resources. The quest log recommends reading about currency and getting gold first, since coins protect money from periodic losses once towers are built.
