How To Play
"Anything you know about fishing in real life applies here."
First, buy a fishing pole. You can't fish without a pole. Then head to the water of your choice, and use your Cast Line ability to throw your hook in the water. Then, just like real fishing, you wait. Your line will stay in the water for up to 15 minutes. However, long before then you'll get a fish to bite. Once you hook a fish on, you will automatically try to reel it in. If you're strong enough, you'll land the fish and add it to your inventory.
[Fishing Poles]
Different poles have different attributes. Better poles can cast farther. Some come with bonuses, such as increasing the chance of hooking a fish, or chance to landing a fish.
[Bait]
Do you need bait to fish? No. Fish are attracted to shiny hooks well enough. However, putting bait on that hook will increase your chances of hooking a fish, and is probably worth the effort. Having bait increases your chance of hooking that size fish, but it does not decrease your likelyhood of hooking any other size fish. Selling your small bait will not help you catch more large fish.
[Boats]
Want to fish in the deep? You'll need a boat to get there. You'll have to get your own, though... no ride sharing allowed.
Getting Bigger Fish
Just like in real fishing, the bigger fish are in the deeper water. However, you probably can't just jump out there and start landing whoppers! There are two aspects of catching a fish...
[Chance to Hook]
Your chance to hook a fish is dependent on the level of your fisherman and any bonuses to catching he may have. The higher your Chance to Hook, the more likely you are to see Fish On! Bigger fish are more difficult to hook than smaller fish.
[Chance to Land]
This is completely dependent on your fisherman's strength. The stronger you are, the bigger the fish you can pull in. Makes sense, doesn't it? So how can you get strength? Primarily from leveling up your fisherman. However, you'll also get stronger simply by fishing. The more time you spend fishing, the stronger you'll get. So don't be lazy, get out there and work!

A Lady's Gift
Find the Naga Siren and see what she has to say. Helping others is often rewarding.
Talented Fisherman
Not only can you catch fish like no one's business, and pilot any type of fishing craft known to man, but you even know how to build your own custom fishing poles. Of course, its hard to beat the poles sold in the local shop. If only you could find some special quality materials...
FiSH Co.
FiSH Co. is a booming fishing company on the mainland. So greedy are they for fish, they'll even buy your fish from you. However, convenient as it might be, they will refuse to pay you a weight bonus on the fish, and give you only the standard rate based on size.
