Tips and How To Start
Heroes: Wander around the map killing monsters. Protect Empires and aim to get the gear you need to kill the boss in the bottom left corner of the map.
-While you have your hero selected you can right click near allied units far away to teleport to them.
-Failing to complete Cargo Quests or Obeslisks will make the game considerably more difficult.
-Put all of your stats into 'one' attribute until level 100, the maximum for one attribute. Every 5 points in a single attribute increases its output, so if you put 5 points in Sword, the 6th point gives you +4 Str/+4 Agi. The 11th gives you +6, etc. Str Heroes should go with Axe or Sword attribute first, Agi heroes should go Bow or Sword, and Int heroes should choose Book. If the attribute you have chosen doesn't come with Agility, try to get a good Helm as quickly as possible to increase your Attack Speed.
-Enemy Buildings have extremely high damage reduction, attack speed helps more than damage. Work together, preferably get a General Hero or Empire to bring their army to take down Rebel Camps or Obelisks.
Empires: Build, expand. Choose your starting location wisely, you want plenty of breathing room to expand into as you progress.
-Consider hiring a Hero. This gives the Hero EXP based on your income and Trade Points based on the percentage of income you are giving the Hero. 25% of your income is the minimum required to give your Hero 10 Trade Points every time they are paid and this adds up especially if you start doing it early game. But you also have to trust Hero you hire, so be careful.
-Build Compact grids. You want some kind of arrangement that will let you reach every house you build with every happiness building, which use Auras to apply the buff.
-Build at least one Fire Department (build a Foundation and upgrade it). Otherwise randomized Fire events will destroy all the buildings they affect. Don't forget to repair them either! They will sustain significant damage even with Fire Departments.
-Balance your Tax and Rations. Typically, you want a 30/70 Split, in other words your rations should slightly more than double the amount of taxes you have throughout the game. Overtaxing can give a small burst of income but citizens will quickly move out.Adjust your Rations as you gain population and build Farms.
-Make sure you put at least 5% into Science to start researching with the Science Labratory. This is accessed at the inventory of your town hall. You should keep your settings at 100% relaxing until you've started to build Happiness buildings, or the growth penalty will wipe out your citizen count.
-You can survive and win without Heroes but it will be much more difficult. Age quickly and build walls and towers at your borders asap. If you have hero support, make sure you place Campfires for vision. Build a ground based army (flying units deal poor damage to buildings) if you need to go out and kill Rebel Camps or an Obelisk. Be wary about maintaining that army, when it dies your people become unhappy and if your happiness falls too far any military units you have will start converting into enemy units.
-Move a ground unit to one or all of the 3 NPC towns to help your Heroes.
-Enemy spawners are all over the map however building close to one will disable it. Mark your territory with Campfires to ward off enemy spawns. This won't stop enemy Heroes from invading.
Hero Classes
There are 3 different Hero classes:
Builder: Can build buildings and forge items. Use the item he carries to see what you need for every building. (Its listed on items as well)
Freelancer: Has a large exp bonus. And doesnt carry a class item so he can wear an extra item.
General: Allows the hiring of an army this army can be hired at one of the 2 camp leaders. (Use show spots to find them they are the green dots)
Empire Profiles
The boosts are over the basic amounts of the units. (So they do not work on upgrades)
Air Profile: +150% Attack Speed and +100% Hitpoints to all Airplanes.
Tank Profile: +100% Attack Speed and +75% Hitpoints to all Tanks.
Infantry Profile: +50% Attack Speed, +50% Hitpoints and +50 Regeneration to all Infantry.
Defense Profile: +50% Attack Speed and +50% Hitpoints to all Towers and Walls.
Resource Collector: +20% boost on gold, lumber and food income (the numbers coming out of Townhalls are 20% higher)
Teleporting
All Heroes have teleport to use teleport click near an allied unit or building that is currently visible to you and is more then 1 screen away. Also the starting unit of the empire can teleport just click 1 screen away somewhere and it will teleport.
