Listed below are all the "fake" versions and their Pros and Cons. Life of a Peasant Enhanced Gold: PROS: Balances many things that were unbalanced in my version and adds some cool elite units. Drug Lord looks cool as Sephiroth. CONS: My first chat message upon starting the map: "wtf link?! lol". Life of a Peasant RP/Animals: PROS: Probably the most popular version as of right now. The Go-Carts inspired me to make a racing feature in this version. It's also very fun to be someone's pet. CONS: Some dog begged me to be his owner and I agreed. So I bought a house and right afterwards he told me to type in "-make booze". I typed it in, and believe it or not, booze was being made magically. It increased your level each time you used it and you could keep typing it in. Why does the teenage boy have Vampiric Aura when he's ranged? Life of a Peasant PLATINUM: PROS: Can be really funny at times, sometimes even hilarious. I like how the park and restaurant were done, very nice. CONS: I think too many unneccessary pictures were imported into this map. The meat icon can represent many foods, you know. It's also much better to use blp's instead of tga's when you have so many imported pictures. Life as a Vampire: PROS: I have this map but I've never played it. I know one player is Dracula and I think another is Death. It's one of the most popular LOAP maps right now, so go try it! CONS: I have no negative information on this version. (Continued)

(Continued) Life in Japan: PROS: I didn't get to play this version that much, but I hear it's pretty fun. There's Godzilla, katanas, Asian stuff, and much more that I missed out on. CONS: I didn't get to play much because I picked the Old Man as my "Hero". I don't know if this was a bug fixed in a newer version but the Old Man was not a Hero. He was just a necromancer with no skills and no experience bar. I couldn't play through the whole game with just a unit, so I quit. I've also heard that Godzilla is overpowered, but it's Godzilla - you can't expect someone to get stepped on and live. LOAP vDeathGod: PROS: Back on the old forum, I saw someone post an idea for God. It was rejected. Then, a couple weeks later, I saw this version come out. It quickly became the number one "fake" version of the time. You can control God or Death and threaten humanity's very existence! CONS: I've heard that God and Death are overpowered. Well I guess they should be. LOAP in LA: PROS: I can't say I played this version yet, but it looks nice. It looks like there's a ton of new features in it. CONS: I read on the forums that the cheat still works in this version. Does it? I don't know for sure. Life of a Peasant Res Evil: PROS: Didn't play this version yet, sorry. I love Resident Evil though. CONS: I haven't heard much about this version, so I can't say anything here.

I find it odd that the members of DTP look down upon "fake" versions. Sure they're unbalanced, and sure they might have a few bugs, but they're fun! Every "fake" version has some feature that makes it unique, something that makes it stand out from the others, and that's what makes it fun. We, as players, need variety in our games. And the "fake" versions provide that. Please, I implore you members of DTP: Leave your maps unprotected.
