Manual
Quick review: Lordaeron Tactics is a 'spawn based' strategy map, meaing your units will spawn at certain buildings ('bases') until spawn cap is reached. Heroes are unreviveable and limited, making keeping them alive first prior objctive. Most 'unique bases' (not buildable by players) spawn exceptional units, making defending them second prior. The map contains variety of more or less profitable events that may turn the tide in the engage. Spawn system: Units are usually spawned in front of each base. You can order them to go to certain location using base's rally point (select building and right-click desired destination)

Plans for future
As this version didn't feature the final rework of Quel'Thalas regarding reterraining and a new gameplay, you may want to keep that in mind for what I'll have in store for you with the next patch. Quel-patch (v.16) will feature a reterraining of Quel'Thalas as the current may promote camping too much. I'll aim for a new way to fight the conflict with a focus around secondary objectives, including control-points with bonuses. Also the final touch will be laid on the Blood Elves, including a bonus hero for each Path and possibly an item. The patch may also feature a sister-system for Armor and Damage-upgrade equivalent to the current HP-upgrade system. North-patch (v.17) will feature a longed rework of Scourge. Currently Scourge has been a mash-up of the same units and doesn't diverge enough from each other. LB was supposed to be the Plague Cult with corruption and Necromancy, dealing in skeletons. Whereas DG would be the straight up undead faction with Ghouls and Abominations. See it as LB with the supportive spellcaster-faction and DG with the straight up horrors of the Scourge. Expect to see changes to heroes, especially King Arthas. Also I'll include an event where Arthas can lose his mind to vengeance and become stronger and more offensive-minded but lose the chance to go King Arthas. During this event Terenas will fall earlier than normal and Garithos will be different and stronger than usual.

Red – Lordaeron Capitol
Basic Strategy: ALWAYS train Castles at your main base (Capitol) to improve your spawn! 4 Castles equals maximized spawn. You should work together with your ally (Yellow) to suppress your enemies (Dark Green and Light Blue). You should gather all units just outside the Capitol and most likely Dark Green will attack your outskirt base of Brill. When he does you should hit him in the back. Your heroes are quite tough and have amazing healing capabilities but be careful not to lose your heroes as Terenas is your main source to early presence and Arthas is your lategame hero, also if you lose Arthas Light Blue will get him as a hero. You have got a special unit named Ahrad the Choppy inside your southern base, in general he’s an improved worker-unit and you should keep check on him as his aura to increase building armor and his immense repair-rate are very good. You have a transport between the Capitol and Ambermill, walk close to the ship to use it. Events: Should you destroy the Fordring Keep (Dark Green) your ally (Yellow) can claim the Scarlet Monastery. When Terenas reaches lvl 10 and you control Arthas, Terenas will die of old age and Arthas will be given the opportunity to take the Throne upon walking close to the Capitol and become King Arthas, a very powerful hero. Should either of your heroes die you will be given Garithos after a set timer. Should the Capitol be destroyed you will get the Lordaeron Refuge in Dalaran.
Blue – Dalaran Kirin Tor
Basic Strategy: ALWAYS train Castles from your main base (Sorcerers League) to improve your spawn! 4 Castles equals maximized spawn. You should gather your units and together with Purple decide what your target should be: Either you should disrupt the most likely assault on Durnholde to slow down the Horde or you could strike at Green with the aid of Purple’s melee units or go for the Item-event at Southshore Tower which activates after a little while. Always work together with Purple to safeguard your ranged units and maximize your damage. Don’t be too afraid of losing Durnholde but take a prize for it. Events: When Jaina reaches lvl 10 she ascends to Archmage, granting her improved stats and two new mobility abilities. Should Antonidas get a hold on the Doomhammer his Chain Lightning will improve. Once Antonidas reaches level 8 he takes the Book of Medivh from the vaults of Dalaran. The Southshore Tower becomes activated after a little time. Take control of it and search the place for a powerful item for Jaina. Should either of your heroes die you will be given Khadgar.
Teal – The Elves of Quel
Basic Strategy: ALWAYS train Castles from your main base (Silvermoon) to improve your spawn! 4 Castles equals maximized spawn. Get all units out to the open areas outside the Silvermoon Gates. You should focus on holding the area against the Trolls (Gray). Anasterian is very important for your survival due to his Lament-spell, keep him alive. He also carries an item which in the hands of your enemy will cause you trouble. If you manage to keep the area and mass your ranged units you should be able to take on Gray. You are strong lategame and should focus on survival early. Events: When Sylvanas reaches level 6 she will gain the Sunstrider Bow. Should Anasterian reach level 10, you gain Lor'themar Theron When Anasterian becomes level 6 Felo'Melorn becomes droppable. Should Anasterian die you will be given the elf commander Lor’Themar Theron. Should Sylvanas die she will drop a Soul Token, bring it to the Sunwell to resurrect her. Should the Sunsail Anchorage fall your spawn at Silvermoon will improve slightly. Your max spawn will however be reduced a little. Should Silvermoon Palace fall you lose all units including heroes and will be granted Kael’Thas and the Blood Elves and has to search for a new home. In doing this you will cut all bonds to the Alliance.
Purple – Arathi Defender
Basic Strategy: ALWAYS train Castles at your base (Alterac/Kul'Tiras) to improve your spawn! 4 Castles equals maximized spawn. Talk with Blue how to form your attacks. You will with certainty be attacked at Durnholde and don’t despair if you’re about to lose it as it is kind of meant to. You will gain another spawn when Durnholde is destroyed. There’s a transport in the back to take away heroes to the ridge just north of Durnholde, from which you should be able to reach Alterac. You can intentionally plan to let Durnholde fall and instead focus to take down a base from the Horde, as you will gain another spawn you don’t lose that much. However the Horde will gain a lot by destroying Durnholde so it is often better to defend it. You are the shield and Blue is the sword, you need to work together to have a real chance to beat the Horde. Events: Should Aliden Perenolde reach level 10 you can bring him to Alterac to make him King, which gives him improved stats and a very powerful item. Should either player from the Alliance destroy Stromgarde you will gain a base there. Should either of your heroes die you will be given Tandred Proudmoore. Should Durnholde fall you will get Kul’Tiras. Control of Alterac can alter between you and Pink. After 11 minutes Durnholde can be evacuated. It will give you Kul'Tiras and a special escort-event, however it may have some benefits for the Horde.
Yellow – The Silver Hand
Basic Strategy: ALWAYS train Castles from your bases to improve your spawn! 4 Castles equals maximized spawn. You should use the passageway under the mountain west of Stratholme to transport all units to Hearthglen. From here you should coordinate with Red to fend of the Undead Scourge who would most likely attack Brill, Ambermill or Hearthglen. Stratholme can defend itself pretty well or with a handful of units. Always try to save priests from getting killed as these units are good healers. Your heroes are tough and strong but do not be careless. Events: Upon destroying Fordring Keep you can claim the Scarlet Monastery near the ruined keep by discovering it with a unit. Along the Scarlet Monastery you also gain access to the hero Isillien. Should Stratholme be destroyed Light Blue will gain control of it, should you destroy it, then you will be given Stratholme back and you will be given Aurius Rivendare as soon as Uther is dead. Should Alexandros Mograine die he will drop a Soul Token, bring it to the Alonsus Chapel in Stratholme to resurrect him. Should you lose Stratholme you will be given Tyr’s Hand east of Stratholme after a set time.
Light Blue – Plague Cult
Basic strategy: ALWAYS train Castles from your main-base (Andorhal) to improve your spawn! 4 Castles equals maximized spawn. Keep heroes behind your units to safeguard them, talk with your ally Dark Green when to strike. Your first focus would be to destroy Brill together with Dark Green (a small base outside the heavily fortified Capitol). You can make sure DG is not interrupted by Yellow by destroying the towers at the outskirts of Hearthglen, North of the Capitol. By controlling this area you can separate Yellow and Red and thus weaken their defenses against your and DG’s attacks. Events: Upon the destruction of Brill, Dark Green will get the base. Upon the destruction of Stratholme you will get a base there in its stead. Upon the destruction of the Capitol you gain a Base inside the Capitol and a Base at Northrend. If Arthas (Red) is killed you will get him as a hero. When Undead Arthas reaches lvl 10 and the Capitol has been destroyed you can make Arthas go to the circle at Northrend to make him the Lich King, an extremely powerful hero. If Kel’Thuzad is moved up to the active Sunwell at Quel’Thalas (Teal) he ascend to Lich Form, an extremely powerful hero, if the Sunwell has been destroyed before this event you can do the same if Kel’Thuzad move to the active Moonwell (Gray). If you secure the item Soul Token of Sylvanas (Teal) and bring it to ShadowFang Keep (Dark Green) you will resurrect Sylvanas under your control. If your team manages to secure the Book of Medivh from the vaults of Dalaran (Blue) you should give the item to Kel’Thuzad so he can call upon the Burning Legion. Should Mal’Ganis be killed he will resurrect ONCE after a long time.
Dark Green – The Scourge
Basic Strategy: ALWAYS train Castles from your main-base (Shadowfang Keep) to improve your spawn! 4 Castles equals maximized spawn. Gather your units to attack Brill (Red), get help from Light Blue to ensure you get it more easily. Be careful to not be caught from behind by Red and Yellow. Make sure not to lose too many units without equally causing the same casualties to your enemies. Your strength lies mostly in your heroes over levels but also in higher tier units. Your heroes are not very tough and you should try to keep them away from danger, although they have permanent invisibility they are revealed for 10 seconds if they attack or use any ability, keep this in mind! Red has a base to the South which he can use as an escape route or alternate point of attack through a stationary transport. Destroy the transport to prevent him from escaping or attack you from behind. Events: Upon destruction of Brill (Red) you gain a base there. Upon the destruction of the Capitol you gain a base there and Anub’Arak as a powerful hero. Should you manage to obtain the item Soul Token of Mograine(upon his death) you can bring it to your main base Shadowfang Keep and resurrect Alexandros Mograine under your control as a powerful hero. Should either of your Dreadlords die you will get Balnazzar as a replacement, however he is not as useful.
Brown – Burning Legion
Basic Strategy: ALWAYS train Castles from your base (Orc Encampment) to improve your spawn! 4 Castles equals maximized spawn. You should quickly move all units to aid at the Forward Outpost west of your bases. Remember to upgrade the "circle" to an Outpost quickly. You are inferior to Orange so don't be aggressive, be defensive and cool. Use the Demon Shrines to your advantage to prevent Orange from harassing with his abilities. The Forward Outpost is not meant to last but keep Orange out there for as long as you possibly can without losing too many units. When the base seems overrun retreat to the Outpost. All you need to do is buying time for the Dark Portal to open and for the Scourge to come aid you. Try to micromanage your units with group-numbering. Get a worker out to build some defenses. Should you lose Magtheridon he will be encaged and given to Orange, destroy it to take back Magtheridon. Events: After a limited time the portal to Outland will be opened, this means that your allies can come aid you to defeat Orange. If Jubei’Thos reaches level 10 you will be granted the Fel Orc Encampment for as long as Jubei’Thos is alive, this base spawns a few strong melee units. Should you manage to defeat Orange you will be granted the aid of the supportive eredar Lord Balthas. Destroying Scholomance will give you the Hellfire Citadel in Outland. Among the ruins of Jintha'Alor (Gray) you will find the powerful artifact Warblade of Archimonde. Jubei'Thos will gain immense power from this item. If you obtain the Book of Medivh from Dalaran (Blue) and make Kel’Thuzad (Light Blue) call upon the legion you will be granted Archimonde, an extremely powerful hero. Should you lose to Orange you will join him.
Green – Frostwolf Clan
Basic Strategy: ALWAYS train Castles from your bases to improve your spawn! 4 Castles equals maximized spawn. You should rally together with your ally (Pink) to raid Durnholde Keep (Purple). This grants several units and improves your spawn. Your bases are connected with Zeppelin transports. Your heroes and units are quite strong but mostly melee and vulnerable to Blue’s magical barrages, avoid fighting in close quarters where ranged units are advantageous. Your bases are exposed to Dalaran (Blue) and Alterac (Purple) and you should consider leaving behind a good amount of units to slow down attackers until reinforcements can arrive. After Durnholde is destroyed you should focus on Alterac and afterwards on Dalaran. Events: Upon destroying the western Internment Camp inside Durnholde Keep you gain some grunts and unlocks the ability to use Roar. When Durnholde Keep is destroyed your spawn increases slightly. Among the ruins of Durnholde you can find the powerful weapon Doomhammer, which grants great shamanistic powers to the Liberator of Orcs. Upon destroying the Magical Vault inside the Dalaran Sewer Drek’Thar can be freed. Among the ruins of the Kirin Tor (Blue) you can find the artifact Eye of Dalaran, bring this to the Frostwolf Clan and mighty beasts will join your course. Should the Frostwolf Clan be destroyed you will gain help from the Bleeding Hollow after a while. Should Thrall die you will gain Drek’Thar should you not have already.
Pink – The Warsong Clan
Basic Strategy: ALWAYS train Castles from your main base (Stromgarde) to improve your spawn! 4 Castles equals maximized spawn. You should gather all forces and with some help from Green you should assault Durnholde Keep (Purple), however make sure to stay alert if Blue and Purple wish to hit you from the side. Keep your heroes outside the Keep to avoid get locked in behind the Keep’s gate and get aimed. You should aim the two cages (Internment Camps) which will release loads of orcs and unlock the Roar-ability of your grunts. Destroy the base and give the Doomhammer to Green. Rally together again and assault Alterac (Purple). Afterwards you should gather full spawn and attack Dalaran (Blue). Events: Upon destroying the Eastern internment camp inside Durnholde Keep you gain some grunts and unlocks the ability to use Roar. Destroy Alterac(Purple) and you gain it as a spawn. Control of the base can alter between you and Purple. When Durnholde Keep is destroyed your spawn increases slightly. Should either of your heroes die Kilrogg Deadeye will send aid.
Gray – Trolls of ZulAman
Basic Strategy: ALWAYS train Castles from your main base (Zul’Aman) to improve your spawn! 4 Castles equals maximized spawn. You should gather all your units at your gate of Zul’Aman. It is recommended to group-control your two starting Shadow Priests and make them auto-cast their Heal and make sure they survive! Fighting your enemy the elves (Teal) is much like a hit’n’run tactic. He will likely try to make use of his ranged advantage and you should retaliate with Zul’jin’s Glaive-spell and your own ranged units when they run away from your melee units. Your Shadow Priests should be able to neglect Teal’s harassment if you keep them safe and avoid losing units. Keep in mind that the Phoenix Avatar Jan’Alai has got a ranged stun ability – use this to stun and aim down heroes. At Teal’s outskirt base of the Sunsail Anchorage, there is an Internment Camp at the little isle west of it. Locked inside is a vast amount of your troops and additional Shadow Priests and a single Elite unit, these can help you greatly. Events: Destroy the Internment Camp at the Sunsail Anchorage (Teal) and gain a lot of units. Destroying the Inner Runestone drops an item for you and makes the elven Gate Tower vulnerable. Upon the destruction of Durnholde Keep you will get a base in the Hinterlands and will be granted the aid of the hero Hexx. When the Sunwell (Teal) is destroyed you will gain the base Moonwell near Zul’Aman. When the Silvermoon Palace is destroyed the ship-transport between Zul’Aman and Jintha’Alor will be unlocked. Giving Zul’jin the item Felo’Melorn will improve his Glaive-ability slightly. When Silvermoon is destroyed and Zul’jin achieves lvl 10 with both Avatars alive; he will ascend to Avatar-form and the two Avatars will turn Ethereal following him. Zul’jin will be granted the opportunity to use their main abilities. Should Zul'jin die another Troll Warlord will rise to aid you.
Orange – The Illidari
Basic Strategy: ALWAYS train Castles from your bases to improve your spawn! 4 Castles equals maximized spawn. Your enemy Brown is weakened but has a great defensible position. There's a small fortification you will need to clear before being able to launch united assaults against Brown's forces. Then try to deactivate the Demon Gates to avoid their increase to Brown’s spawn and also causing the deactivation of the Infernal Contraptions which are major defensive towers at the Outpost. All your naga units and Vashj and Illidan can pass the current between the Naga Encampment and Shattrath. Use your heroes smart to harass Brown’s units to weaken him enough for a full-out assault on the Outpost. Should you destroy the Outpost the Infernal Contraptions will be deactivated. From then on you can launch attacks against the Black Temple. You have to make the time count as there is a timer to open the portal and through it the Scourge might come to aid Brown in your defeat. Should you lose Illidan he will be encaged and given to Brown, destroy it to regain Illidan. If you manage to beat back Brown's forces and ultimately destroy the Black Temple you will make him submit to your rule and he becomes your ally. Also you might get unexpected diplomatic visits from other factions. Events: Upon destroying the Black Temple you will make Brown your ally and Illidan will be given the title of Lord of Outland and will have increased stats. Should Illidan die he'll be encaged.
