Overview
Middle Earth Risk 9.31 is a turn-based territory map for up to twelve players split into two teams, played on a 192 by 192 battlefield. Players gain gold at the end of each turn and can grow their income and reinforcements by capturing empires, of which there are thirteen, each named after its continent. A victory comes from holding all of Middle Earth at the close of a turn, or from being the last player left. Teams can be set to two or three, and chat commands switch alliances on or off and adjust camera distance. Notable additions in this version include a new building in Harad, extra caves, and Minas Tirith as its only income area. Regions are taken by clearing enemy units and walking in.
