Quest Log (F9)

Version 1.17
Version 1.17 (6/23/04) Bug Fixes: Fixed a bug that a lot of the damage type weaknesses (armor types that take 35%) were mixed around (Chaos and Fire were swapped, as were Energy and Air). Fixed a bug that caused a player who left the game to win if they had more lives, instead of the player who remained in the game. Fixed a bug that prevented The_Shadows from being selected in OT. Balance Changes: Spell Shield cooldown removed. Eredar Warlock now has Spell Shield and decreased hit points. Increased the life of most creeps with Spell Shield by about 20%. Changed around a few Round 12 and 13 creeps. Juggernaught attack speed increased, but damage decreased. All bouncing attack towers have had their bounce range reduced. Starfall damage increased to 250 per hit from 150 per hit. Roar bonus reduced to 33% from 40% and duration to 20 from 25. Towers improved: Ballista, Penguin Pitcher, Ancient of Lore, Ancient of Wonders, Sky Dominator, TDG-Bot Towers nerfed: Pandaria's Box, Quill Sprayer, Abyss of Discord, Undulating Inundator, Tidal Guardian, Lightning Sanctum, Doomsayer, Fulminating Torch, Aerial Disruptor*, Gyrocopter *Aerial Disruptor now targets both land and air units. Towers that are upgrading are now counted toward spy values. Transpose cost cut in half. Improvements: Added observer message for tower selling. All basic tower hotkeys are now located on the left side of the standard QWERTY keyboard.
Version 1.0
Version 1.0 (6/1/04) Welcome to the first public version of Mindmaster Tower Duel. This map has gone through extensive beta testing, but there are always bugs and issues that slip through the cracks. Send any bug reports and comments to shvegait@hotmail.com. Be sure to visit www.jx3.net/tdg for the latest updates of this and all Clan TDG maps. It is possible to play against a Computer opponent in this version, but its AI has not yet been fully developed. Still, it will build, research, and upgrade, and will send creeps based on knowledge from previous rounds. It may prove challenging for beginners. Future versions of this map will include improved AI ability.

Tips
Want more mana than what your opponent is giving you? Try the Mana Capacitor, a Tier 3 Energy tower that converts buffs into mana. When teching from Tier 1 to Tier 2, choose the tower on the left for access to the cheapest Tier 3 tower, or choose the tower on the right for access to the most expensive and powerful one. It's usually not a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket, but it may be worse to spread yourself too thin. Sending a ton of cheap creeps can quickly drain your enemy's lives if you know your enemy has a weakness to that creep. However, this can backfire; your opponent will gain more bounty than average if able to defeat the creeps. Don't feel you need to set up your towers before seeing the creeps your opponent has sent. It may often be a good idea to build only after seeing what you're in for, at least early in the game. If your opponent waits to see what you send before building, you might be able to guide what types of towers your opponent builds. Then play the opposite armor type... This map includes full multiboard support for observers. Observers will also see messages for player research, spying, and certain spells. Some elements complement each other better than others. Air and Nature might go well together, but Energy and Water might not. Want to play but no one's on-line or simply want to practice by yourself? Challenge a Computer opponent. Their abilities are currently limited, but they will research, upgrade, and adjust the creeps they send. Discover your own strategy. These are just a few tips for beginners.

Original in-game description by Shvegait
You are in control of what creeps your opponent has to deal with each level. The catch is that you can't see what your opponent is doing! You will have to infer based on past rounds what creeps are the best to send. Choose wisely!
