Training Mode
Tired of being smashed to pieces by Spellbringers? Getting stolen from by those pesky Thieves? Training mode is available for those new to the map (or people who simply want to play ETS as a Defense-style map) so they can hone their skills before going head-on with another team. To utilize Training mode, simply start the game with all slots either closed or empty on the other team. Please note that Training mode is playable both single-player or with teammates.

Choose from 23 custom heroes and ensure the other team's destruction before the end of 40 rounds. Use Spellbringers in conjunction with your hero's special abilities to fight the onslaught while simultaneously making life hard for your opponents. Shop for items carefully; buying the optimal equipment is essential for survival. Your chances are grim, so work together to outlast the other team. Version 1.0. For more information and contact info, please consult the Quest dialogue box. If you somehow modify this map, please credit yourself so your version does not get confused with my own =). Thanks.

Units based *roughly* on an online MUD called DragonRealms. I am enfo@USWEST, and enfo13@USEAST. All the other enfo's are not me. My email is enfo@ucla.edu. Please don't email me with unlock requests. Suggestions and bug pointers are fine, but they should be done on the forum not my email. Friendster. Get connected to enfo's network! Special Thanks
Original Concept, Design, and Coding: Enfo Forum Presence, Editing, and Polishing by: MoZ Bug Fixes, Coding Help, Extra Coding: Dr_Hack Dr_Hack for keeping the spirit of the map alive in his ETS Remix while we were gone. Also for his patience in answering all of our stupid trigger questions. He probably put in four times more work in the Remix map than we did in my original. Tika and newhydra for helping us test early versions of this map. Zorro, your ETS Reloaded is not quite balanced, but we extremely appreciate your effort in trying to translate our map into Chinese. Grater and Vexorian at wc3campaigns for their helpful tutorials. WC3Modforge for generously letting us abuse their forums. Also, all the rest of you the our map forum community, who have a higher tolerance of this map than it's creators: FrozenChrono, forty, Hellsembrace, nikoru, LadyPeorth, f0cus, Phil_123, Jinjiro, jotun, Mixairian, RaeVanMorock, and anyone else I might have forgotten (you know who you are).
Misc. Information
Damage/Armor Changes: Magic Damage does 125% damage to Heavy armor instead of 200%. Normal does 125% to Medium, instead of 150%, and 80% to Fortified instead of 70%. Piercing does 50% to Fortified instead of 35%. Spawn Information: The number of monster waves spawned is relative to the number of characters in the game. The formula for this is 6 + (number of players/2). Ex. 1v1 = 7 waves of monsters per level 2v2 = 8 waves of monsters per level 3v3 = 9 waves of monsters per level 4v4 = 10 waves of monsters per level 5v5 = 11 waves of monsters per level Ally Trading: Regular clicking - Increments of 1000. Changes in 1.1 part-1
1.0 is considered finished. Version 1.1 is designed to balance and patch 1.0. Technical changes: - Spawn trigger reworked. - Hero revive timer changed. - Leaderboard fixes and streamlining. - Optimization of memory leakage; this should help the game load a bit faster and run a bit smoother. - The Tempest's Ultimate, Vertigo, should no longer be as system intensive. - The map now caches each of the 40 levels of units. This isn't a noticable change to players, but it should accomplish two things: Firstly, disconnects should be cut down. Secondly, the game will run faster with less lag. s - Creatures spawn in a V-formation, as opposed to spawning to a single point. Bug fixes: General - - Lumber now properly splits when a player leaves. - Players can no longer teleport to or above the Spellbringers. - Misc. typos and tooltips. Spellbringer - - Jomay's Legacy damages heroes. - Whole Displacement can no longer displace creatures that have been 'rifted into the game, Fortress of Ice, or summoned creatures (Uthmor, Arhat, Sidhlot and Hav'roth). Bard - - Call of the Siren is no longer castable on a Fortress of Ice. - Unnerving Symphony has an area of effect that's synch'd with its casting circle. - Faenella's Grace is no longer autocastable. Hypnotist - - Creatures made by Mind Shout ability will now stand in place. Moon Mage - - Moongate should now be more consistent in its teleportation. Nightblade - - Blades of Venom gives gold and experience properly. Paladin - - Courage now affects the Paladin. Tempest - - Burst no longer damages allies. Burst has been fundamentally changed to target an area, instead of a unit. Trader - - Traders can no longer teleport to the other side of the map. Weaponsmith - - Cambrinth Charges should no longer be permanent under any circumstances. (See continuation part-2)
Changes in 1.1 part-2
continued... Feature changes/additions: - The winning team now has the option to take their win instantly, or continue playing. If the winners choose to continue playing, the losers may stay in the game and watch. - The game will spawn Level 40 infinitely in the event a team beats their opposition and chooses to continue playing. - Voting system change. I Don't Care and Default (from letting the timer expire) votes now give random votes, as opposed to no votes. - Players who choose Random will now have a small graphic above their hero indicating so, and recieve a free small healing potion. - The camera no longer centers on hero revive, or teleporting with the pads. - Level 38+ creeps will attack everything, including lesser creeps. - Focus Moonbeam is now targettable. Hotkey changes: Barbarian - Kuniyo's Spirit chagned from K to Y Bard - Nexus changed from N to X Cabalist - Mantle of Flame changed from L to T Cleric - Murrula's Flames changed from M to F, Shield of Light changed from L to T Hypnotist - Mind Shout changed from I to D, Telekinetic Storm changed from T to E, Hallucination changed from L to T Moon Mage - Moongate changed from M to T Ranger - Searing Arrows replaced with Meraud's Companion (E) Tempest - Zephyr changed from E to Z Thief - Khri Strike changed from K to R Trader - Life Potion changed from L to E Warrior Mage - Fortress of Ice changed from I to R Weaponsmith - Concentration changed from C to R *IMPORTANT* Spellbringer spell hotkeys have been changed to coorespond to their layout on the left side of a QWERTY keyboard. That is to say: Q W E R A S D F Z X C V Balance changes: Battle Chanter - - Failure of the Forge now begins at -3 armor, instead of -5. Holy Warrior - - Sentinel's Resolve now gives +3 armor/level. Hypnotist - - Hallucination can now be cast on allied units Ranger - - Ranger's Searing Arrows ability replaced with Meraud's Companion. Weaponsmith - - Concentration's attack speed reduction now decreases by .01% with each level, as opposed to .02%. I.E. The Weaponsmith will attack slower with Concentrate level-per-level than before. - Concentration's damage bonus formula has been changed to now give 25% increased attack damage per level, as opposed to 30%. This results in an ultimate loss of 45% attack damage at level 10 (currently 325% instead of 370%) Spellbringers - - Spellbringer mana maximum lowered to 1000 from 1200. - Spellbringer mana regeneration increased to 1.00/sec from .75/sec. - Summon Uthmor mana cost increased to 160 from 140 - Purification casting delay lowered to 1 second from 2 seconds. - Shear's damage threshhold lowered to 60,000 from 90,000. - Hav'roth's Curse has been changed to return 20% damage, instead of 15%. - Kalestraum's Darkrift mana cost increased to 475 from 380.
