Upgrades
Every time you level up, you get 1 Sin. This Sin can be used to upgrade your hero using your building in the upper right corner of the map. Each upgrade costs more. Each hero has one unique upgrade that costs significantly more than the others.
Items
A random item is spawned in each area. These items range from moderately useful to godsends. A lot of this varies on your team composition too. A random item is also spawned whenever your party defeats a boss. Most active items share a cooldown. Any active item with an individual cooldown has a note about this.
Bosses
Each area has a boss. Your party cannot go to the next area until this boss has been slain. The boss spawns randomly, so be careful when turning corners.
Sins
Sins are randomly spawning bosses that can appear when horrors die. After a Sin has spawned, another cannot spawn. This resets when a boss dies, so it's possible to spawn two in the same area if you kill the boss before clearing the path to the next area. Sins are quite powerful, but they drop powerful items. Each one has a unique trait that makes them a formidable enemy. Gluttony - Gains strength whenever he attacks Sloth - Incredibly high range, powerful slow poison Lust - Extremely high damage output Greed - Deals damage based on his target's money Envy - Steals health and mana based on how many items her target has Wrath - Durable and fast Pride - Combines the traits of all the other Sins. He can only appear once at least 3 other Sins have died.
Commands
-Roll 6 Rolls for up to 6. You can also use "-Roll 100" for up to 100 and "-Roll Whatever" for up to...well, whatever. -Unstuck In the case a boss gets stuck on a wall or something, type -unstuck. The player will be given an observer. Whatever it attacks will be pulled to it. This is a bug and will be fixed eventually. Probably.
Changelog
Look for the map on Hiveworkshop for the full changelog. A quick summary- Added a new hero, The Explorer! Reworked tarot card The Tower. Reworked the entirety of the pills. Fixed a bug with the Overlord having too much attack speed. Altered Horror drop rates. They now always drop a rune or a card, though runes are still more common. Increased price of using Bucket of Apples. Added new items. Icons to be added later.
Soundpack
Due to the size of the game, the music cannot be added without disabling play on the Bnet. However, music can be added externally...Go visit Roguelike's page on Hiveworkshop for more details. Or, if you want, you can just download the soundpack here. http://tinyurl.com/qapqjhe Unzip the folder and put it into your Warcraft 3 folder. The file path should look something like this, depending on your operating system. C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III\Roguelike And of course, as long as you use the same names (stage1, etc) you can put in your own music...though it probably won't loop properly unless it's the same length!
The Cathedral
"Many legends surround this awful labyrinth, but perhaps the most disturbing is that the path to heaven is through these caves. I don't know how true this is, but if it is, then the entrance to the heavens must be incredibly well guarded."
The Start
"This may be the last journal I ever write in. My name is Gideon Aligheiri. I'm an adventurer by trade, traveling the world in search of thrills and fame. My many journeys have been published from my writings during these quests...but this one...I do not feel confident. This labyrinth has existed, supposedly, since the start of time. Whatever ancient monsters live down here are surely more powerful than me. However, a man of my caliber does not shy away from challenges. Think of the recognition a man could get for going into the most perilous dungeon ever known to humanity!"
Gluttony
"I ran into one of the sins moments ago. Gluttony was as obese as I could have expected. More importantly, he bit me. It hurt. A lot. Still, the more important part of this is that he grew in size when he swallowed that chunk of my arm. I have reason to suspect that eating increases his size. I killed him before he got another chance to taste me."
Gluttony
"The second incarnation of Gluttony was more more terrifying than the first. He had already grown to a massive size, and was growing much faster than the previous one. Unlike the other Gluttony, this one's arms had massive muscles, as if all the fat in them had been converted into raw strength. He was a formidable opponent."
Sloth
"Sloth's incarnation was as I would have expected. He refused to move when he saw me, and instead asked me to come over to him. I, of course, refused. He threw some kind of magic at me, and when it hit me, I was struck with a feeling of lethargy. His attitude is infectious, apparently. Still, I managed to get up to him...not like he ran...and kill him."
Sloth
"The second incarnation of Sloth was much more intimidating than the first. Its human form was gone, as the body had melted to the ground and was in a formless mass. The same magic as before flew at me, but I'm not sure Sloth was trying to attack me. It might have been some kind of autonomous response. Too lazy to actively defend its life, but attached enough to it to protect itself. What an odd creature."
Lust
"Meeting with Lust wasn't as unpleasant as my encounters with other sins. She didn't seem to have too much interest in fighting me. She had an interest in something very different. I had to turn her down, considering her entire body was covered in sores and small insects. If she was a bit cleaner, definitely...but as it was? Ech."
Lust
"Lust's second incarnation was far different than her first. They would have looked identical, but the second was clean, well dressed...quite beautiful, honestly. She provided me...company...through some of the journey, but eventually left, promising that we'd meet again. I can only hope so. I've been far more lonely since her exit."
Wrath
"Wrath wasn't very hard to track down. I merely followed the echoes of angry screams that rang throughout the labyrinth. His defeat was far more difficult. Mostly because his followers were equally angry, charging a full speed at me. He was fast, but not too powerful. An easy victory."
Wrath
"I thought I had dealt with Wrath, but it turns out I was very, very wrong. His second incarnation was filled with quiet fury rather than the blood curdling anger of the first. He snuck up on me and ordered the surrounding monsters, who had yet to notice me, to attack. Being surrounded by angry monsters is not very fun. Not too safe either. I got lucky. There's no way I should have made it out alive."
Greed
"I've seen some ugly creatures down here, but Greed's incarnation will stay at the top of my list for quite some time. A homely little beast with a scrunched face and a ears twice the size of his head. Bastard tried to steal my wallet. A single punched knocked him out. More greedy than strong, I guess."
Greed
"My second meeting with Greed was far different than the first. This Greed was handsome, smooth, wearing a suit. He didn't steal my money. Heck, he gave me a good deal on a number of weapons. Thinking about it again, he looked a lot like the shopkeep...minus the mask, of course. I wonder if they're the same guy...hm."
Envy
"I should have known better than to think someone else was down here. Envy looked like a normal person, albeit a bit...ghastly. When I approached her, she offered to appraise the various artifacts I had found, claiming to be a researcher looking for items to study. She took my items...and then refused to give them back and ran. I took her down, but it was a little hard considering she had my stuff."
Envy
"After several days of feeling some kind of presence behind me, I finally found the source. A pair of green eyes stared at me from the darkness, then leaped when it saw I discovered it. It was Envy's second incarnation, back to take my things. I was far more prepared this time, but she sucked away my life and took it as her own. She was far more powerful than I would have expected from the legends. I must update my research..."
Pride
"After defeating a few sins, I encountered their leader, Pride. He didn't notice me at first, as he was staring at a reflection of himself in the armor of a fallen warrior. However, when I tried to make the first strike, he quickly evaded me and struck back with deadly accuracy. I couldn't dodge a single one of his attacks. He was strong...far stronger than I would have expected. I can only pray I never run into his second incarnation."
Pride
"As I write this, I lay bloody and beaten. This is a pyrrhic victory. I had to use everything in me just to take down Pride's second incarnation. The beast was massive and attacked me from the shadows, striking at me when I was least expecting it. He was just as fast as his previous form, but far stronger. I had to fight him while grabbing runes I had left in reserve. Even with that, I am still nearly dead. I can only hope the surge in power that I gained from defeating him will provide me with the resources to carry on..."
Lord of the Flies
"The buzzing of flies surrounds him, a floating balloon filled with rotting flesh. Beelzebub has maggots crawling in and out of his body, screeching at me as I walk past them. I can't tell if the insects are under his command or if they just stay around him for the stench. Either way, they're quite hostile, as is he."
Tortured Soul
"I've heard rumors of the Tortured Souls. Saints whose life work is turned towards a darker purpose. Saint Angelo was one such saint. The poor bastard was denounced as a heretic for trying to 'save' necromancers from damnation. Probably drove him crazy. At the very least, maybe I can put his soul to rest."
Necromancer
"As I wander the Depths, I can hear Lord Jericho's voice echoing to his followers. The Necromancer leads the dark cult that lives in the Labyrinth. Catching bits of his sermon, I've determined a bit of his backstory. A young man who saw the world's end in a vision and sought to bring his visions to reality as quick as possible. Personally, I think he's just crazy."
Butcher
"Chop. Chop. Chop. Grep the Butcher can be heard throughout the entire Depths, cutting away at meat around him. He grunts at the zombies near him, as if trying to give the mindless soldiers orders. He may have been a general, leading an expedition into the labyrinth. Maybe he was an explorer, much like myself. Whatever the case, he's no longer human. His cleaver is probably more suited to butchery, but he's quite scary when upset. I must be cautious."
The Depths
"I started my quest in the first part of this dungeon. I do not know how long it is, but if the rest is anything like this, my life is in serious danger. I've named this area the Depths, after the sinking feeling it has given me. I'll admit that I may have been overdramatic in my opening...I was not truly that afraid. But now, after seeing the monsters down here...nothing is scarier. The dead of those that have been here before me reach for my legs, as if begging for help that I can never give them."
The First Horseman
"To look at Famine was to look at the face of any of those who suffered in their deaths. His frame wirey and his ribs showing, he sits upon a horse as frail as he. Of course, his appearance is misleading. As one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Famine is still quite powerful. He's stronger than his atrophied muscles might suggest. No matter. He and his brothers will fall."
Skeleton King
"I have seen many skeletons, but few are quite as powerful as Leoric. The Skeleton King got his title not out of heritage, but from his strength. I'm not familiar with his past, but I know there have been many Leorics. This one seems to be especially unwilling to die...fighting forever, without an end in sight. He'll meet the reaper next time with fight."
Omega Zombie
"The Omega Zombie's body seems to be made of smaller bodies that constantly fall off him. Surely this behemoth wasn't human at one point. If he was, I shudder to think what may have lead to this transformation, especially if he was once a man like me. An eager thrill seeker trying to find an adventure... Nevertheless, I cannot let my pity stop me from slaying him. If anything, it should push me to bring it a swift death."
Splitting Monster
"As I've traveled through the Depths, there has been an ever present pulsating hum. At first I thought it was my nerves, but I soon realized that it was the breathing of some kind of beast. I'd always hoped not to meet it, but unfortunately, I did. The monster was a massive lizard of some sort, segmented into many parts. I attacked the beast, and it split into many creatures. Many that I had seen before in this terrible dungeon. Was the creature the origin of many of the demons down here? It died, and reconnected into the lizard once slain. Upon observation, I discovered the name 'Larry' written on a collar around the creature's neck. If this was someone's pet, I dread to meet them."
The Overgrowth
"It seems that traversing through the darkness has led me to a rainy forest. The drops cannot possibly be from the sky, as I am still deep underground. No matter the source, it beats down on me even as I write this. The Overgrowth of vegetation certainly appreciates the rain...though I don't. Especially since said vegetation is trying to murder me. That's right, even the damn plants in this place want me dead. My only company is the shopkeeper, and, to be honest, I don't trust him."
Harpy Queen
"The dangerous trek through this forest got far more dangerous after my run in with the Harpy Queen. While I was fighting a small pack of harpies, the sound of tremendous wingbeats came from behind me. A massive harpy emerged from the trees, tackling me and pinning my body to the ground. While she was powerful, she couldn't take me in a standing fight. I've never seen a harpy so aggressive before. I must keep my wits about me..."
Ravenous Hydra
"Never before has a starving beast seemed so intimidating to me. The Ravenous Hydra was quite unlike the other monsters in the forest, being more reptilian in nature. Its stomach looked completely flat, and it drooled almost instantly when I was caught in its vision. All three heads attacked at once, biting at my flesh, eating me even during the fight. I repelled the beast and escaped. I don't envy the man who must face down that creature."
Corrupt Druid
"Today I was attacked by a strange man in the forest. I called out to him when we first met, hoping I had found another adventurer like myself. Unfortunately, he turned and used the plants to attack me, bringing them to life with some kind of magic. After slaying him, a quick observation of his corpse told me that he was once a druid, but had become corrupt. I don't know if it was the dungeon or if he was evil before entering, but he's dead either way."
Logger
The following is a page stuffed into the journal. It's safe to guess that Gideon found it and put it there with his own writing. Day 212 "Boss is goin' a bit crazy. Talking to trees, and shit. The rest of us have started to avoid him. Especially after he strapped that bomb to his chest one day. Dude's nuts, I swear. I hear some talk of a mutiny, especially since we're stuck down here as long as he's around. The damn fool has been blocking the exit for weeks now. I think the boys are starting to get a bit hungry for blood..."
The Second Horseman
"Pestilence wasn't that different from his brother Famine. His body, covered in sores, smelled of horrible rot. The smell was enough to make me nauseous even after I slew him. The leg he struck with his sword appears to be getting infected...I'd love to write more, but I must attend to this wound. Perhaps later."
Corrupt Ancient
"I must admit that this labyrinth is keeping me on my toes. When one wanders through the forest, it's hard to watch every tree. Unfortunately, it seems that I will need to in order to survive. I was fighting a pack of bears when one of the trees sprouted to life and attacked me! This massive treant was far more durable than any of the ones I saw earlier. It's safe to assume that this thing was the leader of the Man Eaters I've been seeing. It certainly commanded them as we fought."
Forest Giant
"Today I was given a grim reminder that not all the beasts in this labyrinth are just that -- beasts. In my journey through the Overgrowth, I came across a man I had met before. He was a powerful monk who went by the name of Zam. I'd heard legends he disappeared years ago, and had always wondered his fate. Here he was, among the creatures as if he was one of them. I tried to talk to him...but it was like he didn't understand me. I can only hope that he's at peace in the afterlife."
Bear King
"Hunters often whisper legends of a massive ursine creature that towers over all else. They call him Oberon, and claim that the world's bears all bow to him as a king. While I debate the second part, there is no doubt that Oberon exists. I fought him moments ago, barely coming out alive. The bear's size was immense! Larger than any of the other creatures I've met so far. Its roars were powerful enough that they could knock me off my feet...I can only wonder what other legendary creatures wander this dungeon."
The Mage's Tower
"I passed through the forest and into this...strange...tower? It seems that a group of mages have taken up residence deep in the dungeon, clearing out the overgrowth of the forest in exchange for a clean tower run by machines. Mindless robots wander around aimlessly, assisting the mages with their studies. However, the mages are not too happy about my presence. They're quite hostile and armed with powerful magic. These opponents are far craftier than the monsters before them. I should be extremely careful around them."
Seymour
"My heart aches, writing this. I just engaged in a battle with Seymour, the Sage. I knew him. He was my friend and a fellow explorer, years ago. Apparently he went to the Labyrinth and lost his mind in here. As we fought, I begged him to remember me...but he did not. He kept fighting, as if something made him. I can only hope that he's at peace now..."
Ascended One
"All throughout the Tower, I could feel a tremendous power pressing against my body. After some searching, I found the source. A mage whose body had become pure magic. Xerath. Lightning spewed from his entire being, firing at me when I got near. I don't know if he even knew I was there. But, be he magic or man, he is gone now."
Insane Construct
"I would like to preface this passage with something. The mage's constructs are humanoid, but hollow on the inside. They do not live. They don't feel. Mad Jack is a construct. Its screams were lies. Its begging for mercy was a trick. It has to be. Because if it wasn't...then I probably just murdered an innocent creature."
Flesh Construct
"Yumyum, as the mages called it, was no different than the other constructs. Larger, certainly. Stronger, absolutely. Smarter? Nah. It fought the same as them, acted the same as them, looked basically the same as them. It may have had flesh instead of steel, but it was basically the same. Not much else to say here."

The Piercing Cold
"I may have said that I was tired of the heat in my last writing, but I certainly didn't want to be in this Piercing Cold. This ice can't be melted, even by my most powerful magic. Some of the ice lives, chasing after me. Some of the mages from the now-destroyed tower are hiding out here, but only the cryomancers survived the brutal temperature. I must stop writing now. The evil I sense from the next gate is greater than any I've noticed before..."
Snow Emperor
"Was it wrong to leave King Frost, I wonder? When I had bested him, he asked that I let him live and that he would bother me no longer. He told me to find Beth and tell her that he was sorry. When I asked him who that was...he didn't know. He cried tears that froze the second they left his eyes. The poor man probably had a wife, child, someone precious to him...and he forgot it. I dread the day I forget my friends, if I ever do. I'd rather die than end up like he did."
