Overview

Trident Hero Defense is a tower-defense style Warcraft III map for up to eight players split across three teams. Players defend a Soul Gem against waves of creeps spread over 50 levels, with a boss arriving every tenth level. The roster includes six selectable heroes, among them Raj, Squig, Hermit, Giant, Necro and a Demon Hunter who takes a demon form. Players can buy from a set of 38 items, including healing potions, tomes that raise attributes, weapons, gloves of haste and tombs for permanent upgrades. The map has a single chat command, "money." The author's notes suggest spending gold at the weapon and armor shops before investing in tombs, and encourage the team to share the damage rather than letting one player absorb it all.
