The Troll gets gold in double the amount of damage done. The amount of wall armor affects the gold received. Thus, to reduce the gold received by the Troll, increase the armor of your walls.

After death, an elf can choose a side to help. In older versions of the game, to help the Troll, the player became a wolf, which greatly affected the balance of the game, especially at the beginning. Now the voodoo spirit comes to the Troll's aid, which can heal the Troll or prevent the elves from repairing walls. On the side of the elves comes a spirit that can prevent the Troll from attacking the walls, but no longer steals gold.
