Use your Animus to build structures. These structures can be upgraded to add effects to your skills. To gain lumber, kill the Guardian and escape the level. (type -g to ping) Mana and Health do not regenerate on their own. You must build STR and INT. Every 5 levels, there is a powerful boss that can be killed for +1 lumber. Each level is filled with native enemies. These enemies can drop gold. An event will begin when the first unit enters a level. Enemies from events continuously spawn and don't drop gold. Victory is awarded when the King of Many Colors is slain, at level 30.

Worship Ninhurs, pick Fighter, then pick Elf. Upgrade your Warrior structure into Cleave. Then select your Animus and build an Imbue structure next to Cleave. Upgrade the Imbue structure into Vine Armor. Use Cleave (Q) to clear enemies. Use your starting Potions of Health to heal and gain piety with Ninhurs. More Potions of Health can be bought at the Goblin Merchant. Save Lumber until you have 3, then build a Magician structure with your Animus. Upgrade it into a Geyser. All Elves have Innate Mysticism and regain mana. Use this mana to cast Geyser (E), which will damage enemies in an area and also restore a significant amount of life, improved by Vine Armor. This build can deal high Physical and Nature damage with more Cleave and Geyser structures. If you find yourself taking too much damage, or not healing enough, build more Vine Armor. Magician -> Acid Bolt can be built to add more direct damage to your Spell (E). Be sure to never drink Potions of Fire, as this will displease Ninhurs.
