Tower System
Zoator TD 2 has a very unique tower/upgrade concept that is extremely important to understand. Each builder can build 8 towers directly- these are called base towers. Each base tower has 2 upgrades. For each race, the 2 upgrades each base tower has alternates. Here are the upgrade alternations for each race:
Element - Inexpensive/Expensive
Energy - Charged/Uncharged
Time - Past/Future
Ancient - Light/Darkness
The first sentence of the description of each tower upgrade will tell you which kind of upgrade it is. Ultimate towers for each race also hold true to these same upgrade alternations. However, ultimate towers always have requirements. To build the base ultimate tower for your race, you must have all of the regular base towers in that race. And to build one of the upgrades for the ultimate, you must have all of the regular upgrades of that specific alternation for your race. It is very difficult to make every single tower of your race in one game, so it is best to choose one upgrade path and stick with it throughout the game.
Hero System
Zoator TD 2 features a completely revamped hero system. Each side(left and right) has their own set of 4 heros. The Left heros are found on the upper left corner of the map, and the Right heros are found on the bottom right corner of the map. Each hero has its own set of custom abilities.
At the beginning of each game, a random player from each side will be given control of the creep selection. The creep selection is found on the upper left and right hand corners of the map. There are circles of power there, which are self-explanatory if you click on them and read them. Simply move the wisp to whatever settings you want, and then use your hero to step on the "Spawn Creeps" circle in the lower right and left corners of the map. The level of creeps have level locks. The level locks are as follows:
Low - Hero must be at least level 1.
Mid- Hero must be at least level 4.
High - Hero must be at least level 8.
Boss - Hero must be level 10.
It is recommended that whenever you start a new level of creeps, you start by only spawning 3 of them. Boss creeps are different. Boss creeps will only spawn 1 at a time, no matter what your settings are. If you defeat a Boss Creep, every player on your side receives gold and lumber, while the player who laid the killing blow on the creep receives bonus gold.
Most importantly, every 5 levels, the heros from the left side and right side fight each other in an arena located on the left side of the map. The winning side receives a sum of gold. It is important to train your heros hard when you creep so your team stands a chance at winning the arena battles.
The Races
Zoator TD 2 is comprised of 4 unique races. Here is a brief description of each race:
Element: Element is a well-rounded race. It's upgrade alternations are Expensive/Inexpensive. Element can work well in just about any position of the map, but still must be learned well before it can be put to good use.
Energy: Energy is one of the more difficult races to use. Energy is 100% piercing, with the exception of it's ultimate towers. Energy's upgrade alternations are Charged/Uncharged. Charged means that the tower has a slow attack, but is powerful and has a splash. Uncharged means the tower's attack is fast, but is weaker and may not have a splash.
Time: Time is a more unique race. It has one of the most interesting towers in the game- the Evolving Tower. This tower is built once, and it evolves into different forms within time, instead of being upgraded like most towers. Time's upgrade alternations are Past and Future. Past means that the tower does splash damage against ground, but not air. Future means that the tower does splash damage against air, but not ground.
Ancient: Ancient is another well rounded race. The attack types it has changes with each tower. Ancient's upgrade alternations are Light and Dark. Basically, each upgrade ancient has uses a different attack type(piercing, normal, and siege). Just pay attention when you're upgrading towers to the first sentence of the description to find out what that attack type is, and more importantly, whether it is Light or Dark.
Give Gold
To give gold in Zoator TD 2, simply open up the "Allies" menu, and give gold as you normally would in any WC3 game. However, the gold increments are different in this game. A normal left click will increase the sum of gold by 10. But holding CTRL while left clicking will increase the sum of gold by 100. Once again:
Left Click: 10 Gold
CTRL + Left Click: 100 Gold
